При наличии 3 хромосом: конъюгация только полностью гомологичных хромосом (хотя одна из них в отсутствие другой может частично конъюгировать с третьей - частично гомологичной - хромосомой).

Дифференциальное сродство — неспособность двух частично гомологичных хромосом (см. Гомеология) образовывать в течение мейоза пару, когда присутствует третья хромосома, более гомологичная с к.-л. из первых двух; в отсутствие такой 3-й хромосомы указанные хромосомы спариваются.
